Philadelphia Chinese Lantern Festival

Philadelphia Chinese Lantern Festival

The Philadelphia Chinese Lantern Festival is a great choice for an evening out for you and your family or friends! I had the pleasure of visiting this amazing event this past Friday and it did not disappoint! From the beautiful display of lights and fountain display, to the great food and the amazing performances, you’ll be entertained the entire night!

The event takes place in Franklin Square, a historic site known for its great attractions. It features a 150-year-old fountain, an 18 hole mini golf course and a huge carousel! Though entrance to the park is free, there are fees for each attraction.

The Chinese lantern festival, which is in town through 8/7 features more than 30 new lantern displays, a new Franklin Square Fountain Show, live performances, authentic cuisine, festival foods, the Dragon Beer Garden, and mini golf and carousel attractions at the most immersive lantern festival in the United States!

Franklin Square is located at 6th & Race Streets. The Festival is open from 6 pm – 11 pm every night.

“Timed tickets are required for entry on Fridays and Saturdays during the Festival. You may enter 15 minutes prior to the time on your ticket or any time after. Once inside you may stay to enjoy the festival for as long as you like. Tickets are not valid after the close of the Festival that day.”
